He was a Pre-K student at Grace Baptist Academy.  Schaeffer was active at Covenant Presbyterian Church in various programs and activities including John Arbuckle’s Sunday School Class where he was described as a vibrant young learner. He loved playing soccer and swimming. He enjoyed life to the fullest and it was not uncommon to see Schaeffer dressed up as a super-hero, an animal, or any other character he could transform into.

Schaeffer especially enjoyed playing with his big brother and cousins as well as helping care for his little brother.
