Georgia Department Of Labor Helping To Recruit Textile Workers

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help a staffing company, TiDra, Inc., recruit about 85 workers for two textile manufacturing companies in the Dalton area. The recruitment will be held Monday, March 9, from 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m.
 at the GDOL’s Dalton Career Center, 1406 Chattanooga Avenue.

The company is recruiting operators for coater and tufting machines, along with creelers and slit-film extrusion operators.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. Job seekers must also have at least three months experience in the jobs they are applying for.

Salaries range from $9 to $11.25 an hour, depending on the type of job and experience of the applicant.

The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.

The available jobs are as follows: coater operator (8268775), creelers (8268829), coater roll-up operators (8268804), coater sew-on operators (8268811), slit-film extrusion operators (826884), and tufting machine operators (8268788).
