William “Bill” Master Spencer Jr., 65, of Calhoun, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family and special friends, Don and Renee Brogdon.
He was born on October 4, 1949 to the late Carl Collins and Ruby Collins Frazier. Bill was a lifelong resident of this area and retired from Bowater. He loved fishing, kayaking, watching his 4 grandchildren play sports and also coached many different sports teams and in particular, the Lady Aces softball team.
In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertha Jane Hyde and Vernie Abner Hyde.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon York Spencer; daughters, Angie Bowman and Holly Cash (Wade); four grandchildren, Aubrie Bowman, Brylie Bowman, Cole Cash and Cameron Cash.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The family will receive friends from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.
Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, March 2, at Chattanooga National Cemetery located at 1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404 with Madison York, Wade Cash, Don Brogdon, Robby Snyder, Jimmy Ellis and Scott Palmer serving as pallbearers. Gloria Westerfield, Dennis Tweed, Jeff York, and Chappy Hollis will be officiating.
