Pratt Home Builders To Host Ironman Training Event

  • Friday, February 27, 2015

Pratt Home Builders will host 4 Ironman training events for the twelve athletes who will be participating as Emily’s Power for a Cure Team in the 2015 Chattanooga Ironman competition scheduled for September 27. The first event will be Sunday, March 8 starting at 2:30 p.m.

Andy Sweet, a trainer at HUB Endurance, has set this challenge as a 3 mile pace training event. Each athlete will run three 1-mile circuits through the Pratt neighborhood trying to record as close to the same time as possible.

He will be conducting a 30 minute coaching session prior to the challenge.

Each athlete is paired with a child - their “Hero” - who is battling cancer, and has a goal of raising $1,900 each for Neuroblastoma research through these training events. Neighbors, friends and other athletes are encouraged to come out and cheer on these “Champions” and even participate in the challenge for a donation of $20.

The Champions come from all walks or life: retired police officer, dentist, Starbucks barista, personal trainer, gymnastics teacher and more.

Pink bandanas, food, and drinks will be available for purchase as part of the fund raising efforts.

For more information on the Emily’s Ironmen event, call Cheryl Moore at Pratt Home Builders: 423-267-9917 ext 308 or email: cherylmoore@prattliving.com
