Southern Adventist University’s Symphony Orchestra Concerto Concert will be held at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. In addition, the performance may be viewed online at southern.edu/streaming.
The concert is directed by Laurie Redmer-Minner. Selections include Launy Grondahl’s Trombone Concerto performed by Joseph Archer (trombone); Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major performed by Benjamin Gittens (piano); Henri Vieuxtemps’ Violin Concerto No.
5 in A minor performed by Haeun Kim (violin); Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor performed by Yun Lu (piano); Camille Saint-Saëns’ Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor performed by Kristiana McCombs (cello); Sergei Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat major performed by Katherine Pohle (piano) and Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in A minor performed by Patrick Rice (piano).
