Body Found Near Railroad Tracks In Hixson

The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a body found near the train tracks along the intersection of Sandswitch Road and Boy Scout Road in Hixson.

The victim, a white male, was discovered by a train conductor with Norfolk Southern early Thursday morning. 

The victim’s body was transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death is pending the medical examiner’s report. The person’s identity or cause of death are unknown at this time. 

Investigators are still working to determine what took place prior to the discovery of the victim. Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423 698-2525.
