Martha Cole
Martha Cox Cole, 92, a long-time resident of Red Bank, died peacefully on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga.
She was a member of the 1941 class of Central High School and, upon graduation, attended the University of Chattanooga. She later served as vice president and chief financial officer for her husband’s business, Clent M. Cole Trailer Repair. She was a long-time member of the White Oak Baptist Church and the Saved to Serve Sunday School class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clent M. Cole: parents, John W. and Bessie Sivley Cox; and brother, J. B. Cox.
She is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Terry) Smith and Carol (Granville) Talley; two grandchildren, Travis Young and Che’ Young; five great-grandchildren, Chaz, Dylan and Bayli Young, Madison McRae and Bronz Young; two great-great-grandchildren, Braylon Robinson and Caleb Young; one brother, James E. (Kathleen) Cox; and two nieces, Patricia (Ben) Miller and Cindy (Bob) Brannon.
Graveside services will be on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Burkhart officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
The family wishes to thank the Parkridge Hospital and Hospice Care Center staff who took such good care of her for their kindness and compassion during this time.
