Prostitution Sting Leads To Multiple Arrests In Chattanooga

This week, over a two-day period, the Chattanooga Police Department conducted two sting operations to reduce prostitution and solicitation in specific areas. The police action led to multiple arrests. 

The first operation focused on prostitution and took place on Wednesday, in the Fox team area (primarily within Oak Grove). Throughout the daylong operation, two individuals were charged with gambling, two individuals were charged with obstructing a passageway, and four individuals were charged with prostitution.

Subjects are as follows:

·         Freddie Hodges, 56:       Gambling, Gambling device 

·         William Beamon, 47:     Gambling, Gambling device 

·         Kenya Russell, 33:            Obstruction of a passageway 

·         Ashton Ammons, 23:      Obstruction of a passageway 

·         Deborah Raines, 43:        Prostitution 

·         Wendy Smith, 37:            Prostitution 

·         Shannon Speck, 34:          Prostitution 

·         Marion Heard, 43:           Prostitution 

The second operation focused on solicitation and took place on Thursday, in two specific locations - 2800 Watauga and 2000 Willow St. Five individuals were cited for patronizing prostitution.

Subjects are as follows:

·         Edward Holloway, 64:   (subject was also charged with simple possession of crack cocaine.)

·         Gerald Watkins, 53

·         Ivan Montanez, 49

·         William Watkins, 31

·         Kenneth Brite, 57

These operations involved the CPD Vice, Narcotics, Highway Interdiction Team, Crime Suppression, and officers from Family Investigation, Fox Team and Charlie Team.

Fox Team: Fox Zone consists of Ridgedale, Highland Park and East Lake. I-24 East and West is included in Fox Zone. Fox Zone also borders with Echo Team, Bravo and Charlie.

Charlie Team: Charlie Zone consists of South Chattanooga, St. Elmo, Alton Park, Tiftonia and Lookout Valley.
