Local Nursing Homes

So glad to see laws changing to regulate nursing homes. That is if it is for real.

Just had a terrible experience with a Chattanooga area home. My aunt was only in this place for a few weeks with Alzehimers before she passed away. The food was horrible, the place was under-staffed and what help they had was terrible, for the most part.

Someone from our family was there on a daily basis. There was medication on the floor under her bed on three different days. She was in diapers that were not changed as needed. That is just a few of the things that I witnessed.

She was given anti-psyco drugs that she didn't need. As far as I am concerned it was a death sentence for her.

There has to be a special place in hell for people that make money off our elderly. I called the state and filed a complaint and they came in with 17 other similar complaints. Don't know the outcome, because my aunt died before anything productive was done.
