A woman who Dalton Police say was stabbed Thursday by her husband has died of her injuries.
Glenda Dyer had been transported to Hamilton Medical Center. She initially was listed in stable condition.
The incident happened at the couple's home at 1603 Elaine Way.
Police said a murder charge will be added to the counts already facing David Dyer, 48. He was earlier charged with aggravated assault, battery, and felony interference with an EMS worker by violence.
Police were dispatched at 12:20 p.m. on a report of a stabbing at the residence. Emergency medical technicians were staged near the scene, waiting for police officers to arrive and spotted David Dyer bleeding outside the residence.
Police said Dyer attacked and fought with one of the EMTs and was arrested by responding officers. The EMT was transported to Hamilton Medical Center with minor injuries.
David Dyer was transported with what appeared to be self-inflicted cuts to his wrists. Inside, officers found Ms. Dyer with apparent stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital.
