DesJarlais Pleased With ATF Action On Green Tip Ammunition

  • Tuesday, March 10, 2015

Congressman Scott DesJarlais, M.D. (TN-04) released the following statement in response to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ decision to suspend the proposed ban on M855 “green tip” ammunition:

“Earlier this month I joined like-minded conservatives in sending a letter to the ATF urging them to abandon the proposed ban on ‘green tip’ ammunition. I am pleased they took our concerns as well as those of countless Tennesseans into consideration and tabled their proposal.

"This ban would have clearly violated American’s Second Amendment rights. I will always fight against any proposal that infringes upon our constitutional right to bear arms.”
