Adult, 2 Children Not Injured In Fire At House On Agnes Avenue

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a structure fire at 37 Agnes Ave. shortly after 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Battalion Chief Fredrick Blake said it took the firefighters about 20 minutes to get the blaze under control. Most of the fire was contained to the room where it started. No injuries were reported.

The fire displaced one adult and two children. Chief Blake said the cause of the fire was ruled accidental, most likely from an electrical malfunction.

Damages were estimated at around $30,000.

Agnes Avenue is near Wilcox Boulevard.
