New Arts Event, Breakfast On The Bridge, Set For May 2

  • Monday, March 16, 2015

Breakfast on the Bridge is a new event hosted by ArtsBuild that will take place on Saturday, May 2, from 8-11 a.m. on the Walnut Street Bridge. Proceeds from the event will benefit ArtsBuild’s arts education programs in Hamilton County elementary schools.

“We wanted to create a new event that could help raise funds for ArtsBuild’s education programs and be an event unlike anything else we have in the community,” said Patti Frierson, the event’s chairperson. “Breakfast on the Bridge is unique in that it is a morning event where families and people of all ages can come down to the Walnut Street Bridge, have breakfast, and enjoy entertainment and many different art activities.”

Most of the activities are geared toward children; however, there will be plenty for adults to enjoy as well, said officials. Entertainment will be provided by the Chattanooga Boys and Girls Choirs, Ballet Tennessee, and the Chattanooga Theatre Centre Youth Theatre, just to name a few. Breakfast will be provided by local restaurants and will include a variety of options including biscuits, scones, doughnuts, juice and coffee.

Tickets are $5 per person; children three and under are free. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.artsbuild.com or by calling 756-2787.  Breakfast on the Bridge is presented by Volkswagen Chattanooga.

For additional information, visit www.artsbuild.com, contact artsbuild@artsbuild.com or call 756-2787.
