Larry Benny Bush,73, Ooltewah, died on February 28, 2015 in a local hospital.

A graduate of Howard High School, Larry retired from the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department after 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Velma Bush; daughter, Erica Bush; sister, Gwendolyn Taylor; and brothers, Roland, James and Arlis Bush.

Survivors are his wife of 31 years, Martha Bush;  children, Angelia Bush, Laverne (Renard) Ragsdale; Vicki Russell, Kimberly (Willie) Franklin, Antionette Thomas and Tony Patton;   step-children, Chris Kennett, Regina Johnson and Tracy (Andy) Lanning; sisters, Argentina Pollard, Ernestine Tumlin, Carolyn Bumpus, Velma Jean Bush, Vivian McClendon, Thelma Crutch; brothers, Jimmy and Lebron Bush; 39 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; aunt, Dorothy Woods; and one devoted nephew, Larry Taylor.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at 1 p.m. at Miracle Missionary Baptist Church, 2009 Ruby Street with Reverend Eddie R. Jacks officiating. Burial will be in Tyner Cemetery.
