Naomi Ruth Jenkins Williams, 82, died at her residence on March 1, 2015. 

Naomi was born on May 19, 1932 in Valley Head, AL to the late David L. and Sarah E. Jackson, “Pop and Granny." 

She graduated from Gregory High School in Collinsville, AL.  Naomi was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church since 1999.  She retired from Erlanger Health Systems, where she worked as a Lead Registration Representative at T. C. Thompson Children’s Hospital. 

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Williams, Jr.; sons, Gary (Darlene) Jenkins; daughter and caregiver, Annette (Reginald) Golson; granddaughter, LaQuina “Tiny” (Marcus) Jenkins; grandsons, Elgin (Stacie) Evans; LarQuinn “Terrell” Jenkins, Onterin “Terry” Jenkins; in-laws, Mary (Orlando) Williams, Willie E. Hill, Chicago; several great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.  Special thanks to the entire staff of Alexian Brothers PACE.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, March 6, at New Covenant Fellowship Church with Pastor Bernie Miller officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, March 5, and the family will receive friends from 5–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
