Over 800 geoscientists and geology students met at the Chattanoogan Hotel on Thursday and Friday for the Geological Society of America Southeastern Section Meeting. Attendance set a record for the annual event, which was held in Chattanooga for the first time.
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga faculty members Amy Brock-Hon, Ann Holmes, Claire Landis, and Jonathan Mies served as event chairs and UTC geology students volunteered at the event.
Research posters were presented by UTC geology majors Stephen Krikorian, Nathan Robey, Andrew Stevens, and Chad Wood.
