Chattanooga State Baseball Wins 3 Straight Over Cleveland State

Chattanooga State swept Cleveland State in a three-game series this weekend.

Cleveland State lost 9-6 at Tiger Field in the final game of the series on Sunday afternoon.

The Cougars pulled to within a run in the top of the eighth before Chattanooga State (12-10) added two insurance runs in the bottom of the inning.

Tigers pitcher Andy Clay earned the save pitching the final two innings and allowing one unearned run.

Cleveland State (12-10) returns to Cougar field Wednesday hosting Georgia Highlands College with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
