Chattanooga Football Club Academy 04 Girls Premier Play In Back To Back Finals

The CFCA 04 Girls Premier played in the prestigious Vulcan Cup Soccer Tournament in Birmingham on Saturday and Sunday.

The CFCA Girls came away with a second place finish in the U11 Silver Division after losing 4-1 in the final to the Concorde Fire 04 Girls North White. The Chattanooga 04 Premier Girls started off the wet and soggy tournament with a 3-1 loss to SSA Chelsea 04 Girls Mundial Blue. The 04 Premier Girls rebounded to get a 3-0 win over GSA 04 White and big 6-2 win over Hattiesburg Storm 04 Girls Navy from Mississippi to put the CFCA Girls in the final.
 
Goal Scorers for Vulcan Cup: Ana Silva had 4 goals, Elle Lam 3, Caroline Upchurch 2, Ashley Euolo 1. Assists: Lilly Whitney, Gracen Brewster, Zoe Stalvey, Ashley Eulo all had one assist. Goalkeeper Gracen Brewster had one shutout.
 
The CFCA 04 Girls Premier played up an age group and won the U12 division of the Shamrock Cup Soccer Tournament this past weekend in Chattanooga. The 04 Premier Girls played well in their first game but lost 2-0 to SSA U12 Chelsea Northside Black from Atlanta. The CFCA 04 Premier Girls got a shutout 3-0 win over FC Alliance from Knoxville in the next game. On Sunday morning the 04 Premier girls had to get a win or draw against the CFCA 03 Elite to advance to the final. The two Chattanooga teams played to a 0-0 draw. The final was a rematch with SSA U12 Northside Black. After regular time and two five minute extra time periods the game had to be decided on penalty kicks. The CFCA 04 Girls won on PK's after Morgan Hughes (the 8th PK taker) hit her PK and Gracen Brewster made the final save of the tournament.

The CFCA 04 Premier Girls have played in five tournament finals this season with two championships and three finalist finishes. The team is coached by Robb Wright.
