James Ramin Ghaffari, 49, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Monday evening, March 23, 2015. God called him home to be with him in heaven.

James was a member of Middle Valley Baptist church and before his illness he was director of sales for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee.  He enjoyed coin collecting, photography and loved Auburn football. His greatest passion in life was supporting his children in sports and spending time with his family. His heart was for children around the world, including building a playground at an orphanage in Arkhangelsk, Russia.

His mother, Helen Forrester preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Janie Ghaffari; step-father, J.C. Forrester; father, Ramon Ghaffari; children, Cade, Parker, Summer and Jessica Ghaffari; sisters, Charlotte Forrester and Brenda Hamm; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, in the funeral home chapel with Pastors Billy Beckett, Greg Lindsey, Mickey Rector and Zach Wyatt officiating.  

The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, March 25, from 4-8 p.m., and on Thursday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will be at 1 p.m. CDT on Saturday, March 28, in Bruce Cemetery in Bruce, MS.
