Raymond Thomas Egan “Tommy”, 74, of Pikeville, TN, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015.

He was of the Baptist faith. He lived in Washington, D.C. for most of his adult life until retiring in Pikeville. He was a banker at Riggs Bank for 38 years. Some of Tommy’s favorite pastimes were going to flea markets, decorating, yard sales, cooking, gardening, and especially landscaping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Patrick Egan, Sr. and Dorothy Hazel Egan; and a brother, Joseph Patrick Egan, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rebecca Egan, Pikeville, TN; daughter, Amy (Chris) Egan, Reno, NV; sisters-in-law, Helen Swafford, Pikeville, Evelyn (Paul) Mullins, Villages, FL and Alma Porter, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joanne Syvertson and Dhanika Perera; and his animals.

A memorial service celebrating Tommy’s life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday March 28, at 2 p.m. CDT with Min. Tony Britt and Dr. Rudy Oakes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, March 28.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations to Hospice of Chattanooga be made in his memory.

Pikeville Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
