Georgia Highlands rallied to victory on Wednesday at Cougar Field.
Cleveland State (12-11, 3-8) held the Chargers scoreless sending five different pitchers to the mound in the first five innings and allowing only three hits.
The Cougars took a 3-0 lead into the top of the sixth when Georgia Highlands strung together a five-run inning.
Cleveland State tied the game in the bottom of the seventh scoring two runs driven in by a double from right fielder Hagen Wilkey.
The Chargers regained the lead in the top of the eighth on an RBI triple by designated hitter Tony Flores. Mitchell Mannino earned the save pitching the ninth inning allowing no runs with two strikeouts.
The Cougars are on a four-game losing streak with today's loss being the first at home to a non-conference opponent this season.
Cleveland State takes the field again this Friday hosting Walters State CC in the first of a three-game conference series with the first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
