Drunk Driver Hits School Bus In Dalton Friday Morning

No one was hurt when a First Student school bus was rear ended by a drunk driver Friday morning before 7 on Waugh Street in Dalton.
 
There were two students on board at the time as well as two First Student employees.
 
William Hughes, 61, of 2213 Raintree Way in Dalton was arrested on a charge of DUI after the crash.
 
The preliminary investigation of the crash indicates the bus was traveling westbound on the Waugh Street bridge and had just started downhill on the west side of the bridge when Hughes' pickup truck came over the bridge and struck the bus from behind.
