A developer is planning to develop a 7.5-acre site near Southern Saddlery with 29 single-family homes, 20 three-story townhomes and a three-story mixed-use building.
The mixed-use building is proposed to have commercial uses on the ground floor and apartment units on the second and third floors.
The project by Gabe Thomas and Collier Construction is near Chattanooga Creek at 3100 St. Elmo Ave.
The Riverwalk Extension is planned to go through nearby.
Tammy Development owns the vacant site.
The development will include sidewalks, it was stated.
A rezoning request will go before the Planning Commission next Monday at 1 p.m. at the County Courthouse.
The Regional Planning Agency staff is recommending approval.
