Clinton Hudson told police he came in just after midnight and planned to go back out to his pickup truck, but he got a  phone call and wound up turning in for the night.

He said he apparently left his keys in the $18,000 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 with a silver toolbox.

The silver vehicle was stolen and there was no broken glass where it had been parked at Airpark Drive.

Harry Phillips contacted police on an issue about the eyesore Casey barge across from Ross's Landing Park.

Police said Mr. Phillips was out on a pontoon boat so they wound up calling him on a cell phone.

He said he wanted David Eck to "stay away from" the barge that mostly sank recently. He said he also wanted him off the nearby Casey property on shore.

Police said since the former riverboat captain has been on the barge property for over a month it might be necessary to formally seek to evict him.

The manager of the Kangaroo Express said the store was flimflammed out of $1,212.85.

She said the night clerk processed that amount of Green Dot Cards.

Clerk Morgan Gruter said a man called identifying himself as the regional manager. He said a discrepancy in cash had occurred and it was necessary to authorize the cards. He provided PIN numbers.

The clerk said the "regional manager" asked how a recent hire was doing, and he knew the name of the clerk who had worked the day shift.
