F.A.C.E. will present Girl Face It, a skincare and make-up class for 25 pre-selected teen girls at the Glenwood Recreational Center on March 7.
Today, girls as young as 10-12 years old are experimenting with make-up. The influence of social media and celebrity advertisements are creating false and unrealistic standards of beauty that can have a negative impact on their self-esteem. Instead of using make-up to enhance their looks, young girls are using make-up to look older and to hide what they perceive to be serious.
The F.A.C.E. team consists of licensed professional aestheticians, make-up artists, and hairstylists that provide education, tools and techniques to promote healthy skin care and make-up instruction that enhance natural beauty. Through their testimony, appearance and knowledge, members of F.A.C.E., exemplify how young ladies can be themselves and wear make-up that is age appropriate and that reflects their individual style and beauty.
“Make-up can be used to exude inner beauty when it is applied correctly, we want young ladies to feel confident about how they look and proudly wear that confidence,” said Aliyah Hayoun, licensed beauty expert and founder of F.A.C.E.
