Chattanooga – “Humpback Whales 3D,” the whale-sized adventure, is now open in the Tennessee Aquarium IMAX Theater.

Kingsport – StarWatch, a program open to the public to enjoy the night sky at the observatories, returns starting at dusk every Saturday night in March and April at Bays Mountain Park.

Pigeon Forge – Area Appreciation Days with special rates to area residents of Sevier, Knox, Blount, Jefferson, Cocke, or Hamblen counties with a valid driver’s lesson will take place through March 15 at The Comedy Barn, The Smoky Mountain Opry, Magic Beyond Belief, The Blackwoods Morning Show, and The Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Show.

March 6-7, 13-14

Various sites – Dog Days Family Event will include giveaways and drawings, free seminars and activities for pets and owners at participating Bass Pro Shops across the U.S.

March 7

Hendersonville – The 3rd annual Sumner Soiree is black tie optional and features a fundraising auction, food, and more at Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club.

Nashville – “Nashville Cats” salutes bassist Michael Rhodes 2 p.m. at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

Huntingdon – “Motown in Motion” will take place 7:30 p.m. at The Dixie Carter Performing Arts Center.

Blountville – Dunlop Day is the Muddy Creek Raceway opener at Muddy Creek Raceway.

Knoxville – Legendary Fleetwood Mac will perform for audiences 8 p.m. at the Thompson-Boling Arena.

March 9

Chattanooga – The Chattanooga Symphony & Opera Youth Orchestras will perform their fall/winter concert featuring Gershwin, John Williams, and Vaughan Williams 7:30 p.m. at Brainerd Baptist Church.

March 11

Land Between the Lakes – See a Live Owl Encounter as part of the Spring Break Programs 2 p.m. at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area.  

March 12

Columbia – Participate in a step-by-step paint-along class of “Hungry Hummingbird” 6-9 p.m. at the Excel Studio, located at the back of the Rippavilla property.

Memphis – Vivian Beer will give a lecture about her sculptural practice 7 p.m. at Memphis College of Art.

Nashville – Parent/student hands-on science experiences will take place during Family Science Lab: Dinosaur Discovery 2 p.m. at Adventure Science Center.

Jonesborough – Get ready for a mix of old time fiddle and stories of Appalachia when Sheila K. Adams & the Scofflaws perform 7 p.m. at the Jonesborough Visitors Center.

Memphis – Attend the opening reception for “Tributaries: Vivian Beer and Fred Woell: Art is an Accident” 5-7 p.m. at the Metal Museum.

Union City – Take part in the next Wine and Paint class 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Learning Enrichment Room at Discovery Park of America.

Cookeville – Get ready for spring at the Upper Cumberland Home & Garden Show at Hyder-Burks Pavilion.

Pigeon Forge – The 3rd annual Titanic Authors’ Week will take place at the Titanic Pigeon Forge.

Monterey – Attend the Catch the Leprechaun Festival which includes live music, swap meet, car show, motorcycle show, and a 5K race in downtown Monterey.

Memphis – Santana, multi-Grammy Award winner, will be in concert 8 p.m. at The Orpheum Theatre.

Spring City – The Swing Street Big Band will perform big band classics 7:30 p.m. at the Tennessee Valley Theatre.
