Fire Damages Home In Ooltewah Friday Morning

Fire damaged a home in Ooltewah. At 7:45 a.m., a 911 call was made reporting a house fire at 4917 Maywater Dr.

Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department responded to a residential house fire with smoke coming from the house. Firefighters entered the house to find a couch and blankets on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to object of origin. 

Fire officials confirmed the fire started from an unattended candle.

No injuries were reported but Hamilton County EMS responded to check the homeowners for possible smoke inhalation. No one was transported to the hospital.

Damages are minimal.
