A Hixson woman told police she had some strange visitors who barged in on her and told her they were coming back.

The resident of Cassandra Smith Road said there was a knock on her door about 10:15 a.m. She said when she opened it a white male in his early 30s forced his way inside. He was heavyset and dressed all in red.

She said he started rambling about all the people in the neighborhood he knew who had died. He sat in the kitchen and was making comments about her furniture.

The woman said she told him to leave, then a tall, thin white male in his late teens came to the door as well. He said he wanted to show her some flooring.

She said she was able to block him from coming inside, and the first man finally went out. However, the man said they would be back.

They were in a newer model white car.

An officer said he received a call from a loss prevention employee at the Walmart on Signal Mountain Road saying there was a shoplifting in process.

He was told that a black male was pushing a cart that had a TV in it as well as other items.

The officer arrived in time to see the man with the cart coming out the front door and the employee yelling for him to stop.

The officer tried to stop the man, but he ignored his commands as well. He rammed the cart into two different parked vehicles before abandoning it and continuing running.

He was finally apprehended and identified as William Patillo.

He said he had been awake 4-5 days high on cocaine. He also said he had been off his meds for a week.

The value of the TV was $250. He also had a $10 beach bag and $66 in clothing.

The damage to the two vehicles totaled $700.

Patillo, who had been told not to go to Walmart last year and again in January, was charged with theft under $500, criminal trespass, vandalism and resisting stop and frisk.

Best Motors on Long Street reported the theft of a 1991 white Lexus.

An employee had been showing the car to a black female. It had a bad battery so he jumped it off.

He then went inside to grab some paperwork.

When he came back out the woman and the Lexus were gone.
