Upon hearing parents' requests for a return of DARE to Bradley County Schools after a four year absence, Sheriff Watson re-instituted the program that has been fun and informative for students and their BCSO DARE instructors.
There will be several DARE Graduations scheduled over the next few weeks as school winds down for the year. The first was held today at Hopewell School. Sheriff Eric Watson was on hand to speak, along with several dignitaries, including County Mayor Gary Davis and many others.
DARE instructor Deputy Mitchell Roe says his students have been attentive and they've shown interest in using the tips and techniques taught in DARE to stay away from illegal drugs, alcohol and violent encounters.
