Clarence Holland
Clarence Seaborn Holland, 96, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home.
He was born May 30, 1918 in Pikeville, Tn. to the late Seaborn Baxter and Sadie Rigsby Holland.
Mr. Holland was a member of 2nd Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and deacon for many years. He was also a longtime member of the Brainerd Masonic Lodge #736. He was retired form Southern Railway after 38½ years of service. He was a member of the National Association of Retired and Veteran Railway Employees (N.A.R.V.R.E.) and was a lifelong member of the Half-Century Club.
His wife, Helen B. Holland preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Dennis (Nancy) Holland of Chattanooga; Rev. Ron (Linda) Holland of Macon, GA; and Janice E. White of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Vicky (Allen) Kennedy of Chattanooga; Darrel Holland of Cleveland; Stacy (Tony) Maxwell of Harrison; Carol (Tommy) Freeman of Gray, GA; Andy (Jennifer) Holland of Macon, GA; Timothy Holland of Buford, GA; Shawn (Lisa) Ellison of Chattanooga; Brooke (Richard) Henderson of McDonald; and great-grandchildren, Vanessa (Steven) Gilreath, Wesley Kennedy, Abby Freeman, Anna Freeman, Drew Holland, Sophie Holland, Miles Holland, Gracie Ellison, Heath Henderson, and Sadie Henderson.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 13, at 2 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Reverend David King and Reverend Spencer Johnson officiating. Burial and Masonic Services will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April, 12, from 3-6 p.m. and Monday, April 13, from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home.
