U.S. Army Veteran Retired From George Wright Construction

Virgil William “Junior” May, 72, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, April 11, 2015.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Soddy Daisy. He was retired from George Wright Construction and a U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband, daddy and papaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Grace P. May. 

Survivors include his wife, Becky May; son, Chuck May (Tara); daughter, LeAnn Day (James); grandchildren, Sydney Burton, Kennedi May, and Will May. 

The funeral service will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Mark Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Casey Scates, Chris Coleman, Roy Coleman, Mark Grimsley, Curt Grimsley, and Jeff Templeton will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Soddy Daisy, P. O. Box 9; Soddy Daisy, TN 37384.

Visitation is from 2-9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at the funeral home.
