The Tennessee Valley Authority will host a public meeting in Memphis on Wednesday, about the newly released draft of its 2015 Integrated Resource Plan, a guide to TVA’s energy planning decisions for the next 20 years.
The meeting, the fifth of seven TVA will offer around the Valley, will be held at the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Training Center, 4949 Raleigh-Lagrange Road. The session will be from 7-8:30 p.m. CDT.
The IRP and associated Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement is a study of how TVA might meet energy and capacity needs in a variety of future conditions. Currently, TVA is in the draft phase of the study and is holding public meetings to answer questions and obtain feedback on the results.
Additional meetings will be held April 21 in Nashville, and April 22 in Bowling Green, Ky.
The TVA staff will present its recommendations on a final version of the plan to the TVA board of directors in August.
Public comments and questions may be submitted on the project website at http://www.tva.gov/irp, or by email at IRP@tva.gov.
