Charles Danny McPeek, 71, of Ten Mile, TN, died on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at his home.
Charles was a barber for over 40 years, then he worked for Athens Furniture and retired from Mills Products where he made several dear friends along the way. He sang gospel music since he was a young man, as well as played piano for his church and for gospel groups and ministered for the Lord throughout his life. He loved his Lord, church and family. He was a member of Peakland Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Ersel and Lena Whittaker McPeek; and was also preceded in death by his son, Charles McPeek Jr.
Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Teresa McPeek, of Ten Mile; daughters, Tina McPeek, Cheryl Hamilton (Kevin King), all of Athens and Christina McPeek-Pilkey (Charles), of Ten Mile; sons, Kenneth McPeek (Carol), Larry McPeek (Ann), Lester McPeek (Bessie) and Clarence McPeek (Sue); grandchildren, John Anthony Anderson, Lakin Wayne Holt, Charlesy Danielle Pilkey and Cynthia Matthews; great-grandchildren, Trinton, Khloe and Caleb; sisters, Carol Sperick (Johnny) and Alta Jean Bolling; and special family friends who were like adopted daughters, Judy Strickland and Shaunna Smith and her children.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at Peakland Baptist Church of Ten Mile with Rev. Don McToy officiating.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. at the church on Saturday, April 18.
