Walter Lee Wooten, 66, of Trenton, GA, died at his residence on Monday evening, April 13, 2015.
He was a retired welder and produce stand operator. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lige and Lillie Mae McElhaney Wooten; two brothers, Riley and Junior Wooten; and one sister, Margaret Floyd.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian Sue Wooten of Trenton, GA; son, Gary (Jennifer) Wooten of Red Bank, TN; two step-sons, Gregg (Jodi) Thomas of Chattanooga and Bobby (Jewella) Smith of Oakwood, IL; three step-daughters, Jacquelyn Smith of Danville, IL, Tonya Bushbaum of Wildwood, GA, and Debbie Downey of East Ridge, TN; three grandchildren, Daniel Derryberry, Jacob Carl Bushbaum, and Joseph Summers; three sisters, Clara (Rudy) Hicks of Lookout Valley, TN, Edith White of Henagar, AL and Cathy Cope of Trenton, GA; three brothers, Kenneth (Alice) Wooten of Trenton, GA, Earl (Joyce) Wooten of Bryant, AL and Leroy (Susan) Wooten of Wildwood, GA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 16, in the chapel with Rev. George Trask officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15 from 12-8 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, who has charge of the arrangements.
