People sometimes take for granted this nation’s greatest resource: teachers, according to Davis Guggeheim, director of “Teach,” a documentary about the country’s public school teachers.
Dalton State College will host a screening of the documentary, which explores a year in the lives of four public school educators, on Monday, April 27, at 7 p.m.
“I strongly encourage anyone passionate about teaching and learning to view this documentary, as it richly narrates the stories of these educators and their journeys into the complex and hyperpolitical worlds of learning and teaching,” said Dr. René Antrop-González, professor and Goizueta Foundation Chair in Education.
Directed by Mr. Guggenheim with narration by Queen Latifah, the documentary seeks to uncover both the struggles and triumphs of America's education system. Following the film will be a discussion led by Dr. Antrop-González.
This event is free and open to the public. The screening will take place in Room 105 of the James E. Brown Center.
