Collegedale Citizens Police Academy To Begin May 5

The Collegedale Police Department announced the acceptance of applications for its first ever Citizens Police Academy.

Officials said, "Students of the academy will better understand the operations and administration of the police department as they enjoy interactive classes taught by police officers and staff from the department. This will be a beneficial and fun opportunity for area residents."

The academy will begin on May 5 and will be held on select Tuesday and Thursday nights, for a period of eight weeks.

Applications need to be returned to the front counter of Collegedale City Hall by 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24. Applicants must be 18 years of age by Tuesday, May 5.
