Dorothy Ann Gifford, 48, of Fort Oglethorpe, died on Sunday, April 19, 2015.

She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and attended Cross Connection Assembly of God. She was a licensed cosmetologist and served the North Georgia area for many years and was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Gifford and daughter, Susan Woods.

Survivors include her parents, Jack and Barbara Hudgins of Fort Oglethorpe; three daughters and son-in-law, Krystal Carroll and Heather Carroll, both of Fort Oglethorpe and Emmalee and (Michael) Stamps of Ringgold; sister and brother-in-law, Renee and (Jeremy) Price of Tunnel Hill; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Pastor Joey Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. on Monday, all day Tuesday, and prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
