Attorney and prior Chattanooga area prosecutor Josh Jones announced the launch of East Tennessee Mediation Services (ETMS), a mediation firm in Maryville, Tn. The firm offers comprehensive mediation and alternative dispute resolution services to all of Tennessee.

Mr. Jones, formerly an attorney with the University of Tennessee, will lead the office with his wife, Bonnie Jones. Both are Rule 31--listed Tennessee Supreme Court civil and family mediators with special domestic violence (DV) designations. ETMS offers mediation services for most civil and family disputes including but not limited to: divorce, separation, custody, estate planning and administration, real estate, business dissolutions, contract disputes, landlord tenant, adoption, elder law, and juvenile law.

“Traditionally, the law has been an adversarial system where parties are pitted against each other. One victor, one loser,” Mr. Jones said. “With mediation, however, win/win results are much more feasible. Parties to mediation determine their own fates, and while they don’t walk away with everything they want, in most cases, they do leave mediation with a negotiated compromise that all parties can live with."

ETMS conducts its mediation sessions at its offices in Suite 350 of the Hightower Professional Building on High Street. Mr. Jones can be reached at  865 307-0087, or by email at  josh@easttnmediation.com, or at www.easttnmediation.com.
