Jim Foster Speaks At Orange Grove Center's Lunch For Champions Friday

UTC Women’s Basketball Head Coach Jim Foster is the featured speaker for this year’s Lunch for Champions at Orange Grove Center.  The lunch will be held on Friday, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Orange Grove Center main campus at 615 Derby St.  The lunch, sometimes breakfast, also spotlights an individual served by Orange Grove; this year, Roger Freshour, who has been at Orange Grove since 2005.   

Coach Foster has just completed his second full season as the UTC Women’s head coach, with an overall record of 26-3.  He was named the Southern Conference Coach of the Year for 2014-15.  His tenure at UTC follows successful stints at St. Joseph’s (Pa.), Vanderbilt, and prior to UTC, Ohio State.  He was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013, and is 11th all-time in NCAA history for career wins (active and non-active).   

Past speakers for the Breakfast/Lunch include Gene Stallings, Lindsey Nelson, Bob Kesling, Bill Curry, Mike Keith, Vince Dooley, Derek Dooley, Phil Fulmer, Bruce Pearl, Butch Jones, Wes Moore, Rodney Allison, John Shulman, Russ Huesman, and last year’s Holly Warlick.
