Ooltewah scored four first-inning runs, five in the sixth and cruised to a 10-2 District 5-AAA softball victory over East Hamilton on Tuesday.
Kayla Boseman, a freshman, threw a complete game four-hitter and struck out 11 and walked one in picking up the win.
East Hamilton’s Tori Barnes was raked for eight runs over four innings and took the loss. She struck out two and walked one.
Lady Owls freshman third baseman Mabry Carpenter had a superlative game, going 3-for-3, including a home run, drove in three runs and scored three times.
Second baseman Shelby Sutton was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored.
Aubie Collake had a two-run double and Carpenter belted a two-run homer in the Lady Owls’ first inning.
Cameron Baltimore had a hit and two RBIs.
Brie Levy smacked a solo homer for the Lady Hurricanes. Barnes went 2-for-3.
