Chester Dobbs
Chester L. “Check” Dobbs, Sr., 95, of Soddy Daisy, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.
He was of the Baptist faith and retired from Combustion Engineering. Chester served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Dobbs and son, James Grady Dobbs.
Survivors include his children, Chester Dobbs, Jr. (Evelena) of Soddy-Daisy, Wilma Fettinger of Orlando; Wanda Reed (Sonny) of Ooltewah and Judy McClendon (Robert) of Soddy-Daisy; grandchildren, Jeff Dobbs, Danny Dobbs, Craig Fettinger, Bobby Dickerson, Teresa Clark, Renee Grant, Ed Harvey, Jr. and Sherri Sherrill; six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 24, at 2 p.m. at Presbyterian Cemetery with Reverend Lynn Carrol officiating.
Visitation is on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday, from 12-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
