A Pikeville teen is now at the Hamilton County Jail in connection with an East Ridge murder.

Verronta Sujuan Page, 19, of 38847 State Road 30, Pikeville, is the second of the three defendants to arrive here.

East Ridge Police said a man killed Feb. 20 at the Cascades Motel at 3625 Ringgold Road was shot after he resisted during a robbery.

Reginald Ballard had been shot two times.

Charged with first-degree murder, possession of a firearm during a felony, and tampering with evidence were Kyhree Donte Thompson, 20, 1880 Railroad St., Dayton, Tn.,Tabitha Nicole Garrison, 22, of the same address, and Page.

Police said they found the victim dead in Room 48.

They said Ms. Garrison spoke with Ballard by cell phone about gang affiliation and where she resided.

There was discussion about Ballard picking up Ms. Garrison at her house and taking her to a motel room.

Police said they found a hand print in the room that matched that of Thompson.

All three of those charged were in the room when the robbery and shooting took place, it was stated.

Ms. Garrison earlier was moved to the Hamilton County Jail. At the jail, she gave an address of 12217 Plow Lane in Soddy Daisy.
