CWLI's MENtor: Men Who Promote Women Panel Is May 8

  • Thursday, April 23, 2015

The Chattanooga Women's Leadership Institute Leadership Luncheon, MENtors: Men Who Promote Women, will be held Friday, May 8, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Chattanoogan Hotel.

Autumn Grave's comment at the CWLI annual meeting, "Our mentors do not always look like us," was an introduction to one of the themes for 2015: recognizing and acknowledging the importance of mentors.

"Men Who Promote Women" will be the focus of the panel discussion; not just "promote" in the sense of earning a position with a higher rank, but in the sense of offering encouragement and being a champion for women as leaders, said officials.

The panelists will be Councilman Chris Anderson, David Cook, Ron Harris, Mich Patel and Keith Sanford.

Participants are encouraged to bring a guest that has served as a mentor in their career.  They will be recognized by having them stand during the program.

Cost for the luncheon is $23.  Register here
