Top-selling Christian artist Nichole Nordeman will present a concert in Chattanooga Saturday, May 2 to benefit See Him Ministries. The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the ICCM Theatre, 6425 Lee Hwy. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Ms. Nordeman has numerous number one and top 10 songs, with over one million CDs sold. The singer-songwriter is a two-time Gospel Music Association winner for female vocalist of the year and has won nine Dove Awards. Her latest award was for lyrics on the best-selling release Music Inspired by The Story.
She recently wrote her first book, Love Story--The Hand That Holds Us From the Garden to the Gate.  She lives with her family in Tulsa, Ok. and expects to release her latest CD sometime this year.

"The mission of See Him Ministries is to share the love of Jesus Christ by providing humanitarian relief and developmental assistance to the poor of Haiti," officials said.

See Him Ministries began with a local Chattanooga optometrist, Luckson Previl. He is a full-blooded Haitian with a dream to help his people. A local dentist, Dr. Larry Grant, an elder at Clear Creek Church of Christ in Hixson, met him as a teenager and offered to pay for his college tuition in America. While many Haitians want to escape the poverty, Dr. Previl chose to use his opportunities to help his country. People around the U.S. have joined in the dream and a new medical clinic and eye center are almost complete in the city of Cap Haitian in northern Haiti.  Clear Creek Church of Christ sends medical teams to Cap Haitian every year but have never worked in a permanent location where follow-up patient care can be provided. The new eye center is expected to enhance medical and vision care in northern Haiti.

Concert tickets are $20, with 100 percent of ticket sales going to benefit this new ministry. Purchase tickets, make donations or find out more information at www.seehimministries.org or itickets.com.
