Willie Allen Norris, Sr., 84, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, April 10, 2015 in a local hospital.

He retired from Moccasin Bend Water Treatment Plant after many years of service. He was a member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Magnolia Norris; wife, Elizabeth “Minnie” Norris; brothers, Alphonza, Nevaughn, Jimmie, Eugene, and Cordell Norris.

Survivors include his sons, Willie Norris, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, James Williams, Sr. of Zion, IL, and Anthony (Sonia) Fears of Chattanooga; daughters, Cheryl Norris Sanders, Treva (Larry) Johnson, Pamela (Donnie) Hennessee, Sherl (Arthur) Foster, and Vonetta (Marcellus) Clay, all of Chattanooga; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Eddie (Joanne) Norris of Indianapolis, IN and John (Faye) Norris of Orlando, FL; sisters, Janie Norris-McDuffie, Glenda Norris (George) Williams both of Chattanooga, and Harriett Williams of Atlanta; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Church as the eulogist. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
