EPB officials said a survey it commissioned by Wilkins Research show local consumers favor its TV and Internet services over Comcast and other competitors.
Danna Bailey said the survey of 400 residents put EPB ahead of chief rival Comcast 9.4 to 8.4 on level of service and 6.9 to 5.7 on value.
The surveys have been conducted for three years, and she said EPB "is steadily going up and Comcast steadily going down."
She said one segment EPB is closely watching is a growing number of those "cutting the cord" and using such services as Net Flix and Hulu.
EPB is nearing the 66,000 mark on TV customers.
With EPB's power side again under budget, officials said the utility has needed the boost from the phone, TV and Internet venture.
EPB member John Foy called the stats on the new ventures "incredible." He asked, "Where would we have been if you hadn't done this?"
Harold DePriest, president, estimated that it has saved EPB power customers a five percent rate increase.
