Norman Lay, Sr.
Norman L. “Nickey” Lay, Sr., 62, died on April 27, 20015 at Hutcheson Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Clark Lay; parents, Willie and Margaret Lay, Sr.; and two brothers, Lonnie Davis and Willie Virgil Lay, Jr.
Survivors include his sons, Norman (Chantay) Lay, Jr., Rossville, Charles (Leigh) Davis, Calhoun, GA; daughter, Nicole Lay (Richard Horton) of Chattanooga; seven grandchildren; sisters, Rosie Clemons, Patricia Moore, Chattanooga, and Mattie (Randall) Davis, Kensington, GA; brother, Johnny (Anita) Lay; sister-in-laws, Doris Lay, Kensington, GA and Katherine Davis, Detroit; a very dear aunt, Mattie Simpson, Kensington, GA; devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Services will be on Sunday, May, 3, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Kensington, GA with Reverend William Tramble officiating. Interment will be in Garmany Cemetery.
The body will lie in state after noon on Saturday, May 2, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 423 622-9995.
