Kyle Dine Concert Raises Food Allergy Awareness

  • Monday, April 27, 2015

No Nuts Moms Group in Dalton, a local chapter of a nationwide support group for those that have and/or manage food allergies, will host a free community concert featuring Kyle Dine on Saturday. Mr. Dine is a musician that specializes in raising food allergy awareness through fun, upbeat songs and puppet shows. He has performed in over 200 schools across the U.S. and Canada.

According to F.A.R.E. (Food Allergy Research & Education), one in every 13 kids are diagnosed with food allergies. The newest study by the CDC indicates that food allergies among children increased approximately 50 percent between 1997-2011.

Dr. Russell Walker, a local, board certified food allergist from the Allergy and Asthma Group will be available to answer allergy related questions.

This free community event has been made possible by The Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Connection Team, F.A.A.C.T, a national organization committed to raising awareness regarding food allergies. It will be held at the YMCA, 301 W. 6th St. in Chattanooga, at 2 p.m. and is free to the public.
