Special Event Street/Lane Closures For April 30-May 3

Thursday: 

The Chattanooga Corporate Challenge will take place from 5-9 p.m.  River St. from Renaissance Park to Coolidge Park will be closed; Tremont St. will be closed surrounding the Blue Rhino and the right (eastbound) lane on Frazier Ave. from Market St. to the Walnut Street Bridge will be closed.  Please watch for walkers and posted signs for closures. 

Friday:

The Armed Forces Day Parade will take place.  Please watch for a lane closure on Market St.

between 7th St. and 6th St. beginning at 7 a.m.  Market St. from 12th St. to Martin Luther King Blvd. will be closed from 8:30-10:30 a.m.  The parade route will be closed from 10 a.m-noon and will close Market St. from ML King to 3rd St., 3rd St. from Market to Broad and Broad between 3rd and Aquarium Way.  Please follow posted detours.

Nightfall will take place from 5:30-11 p.m.  Market St. from 10th St. to 8th St. will be closed; Martin Luther King Blvd. from Broad to Georgia will be closed, and Cherry St. from ML King to 8th St..  Visit http://www.nightfallchattanooga.com/ for more information and music lineup. 

A temporary closure of Reggie White Blvd. from the entrance of the skate park to 19th St. will take place for the construction of a tent.  Closure is expected to be approximately a couple hours.   

Saturday:

The JDRF One Walk will take place from 7:30 a.m.-noon.  Please watch for a lane closure on Frazier Ave. between Market St. and the Walnut Street Bridge.  Walkers will continue down 1st St. and cross Market St. to Aquarium Plaza.  The route continues along the Riverwalk and across the Glass Bridge back across the Walnut Street Bridge. The Latin Festival will be taking place.  Road closure will begin Friday at 1 p.m and re-open Saturday at 8 p.m.  Union Ave. will be closed between South Orchard Knob Ave. and South Willow St.;  Kirby Ave. will be closed from South Beech St. to Willow St., and South Beech St.  will be closed from Kirby Ave. to Union Ave.  For more information, visit www.latinfestivalcha.org.

Arts Build Breakfast on the Bridge will take place on the Walnut Street Bridge from 8-11 a.m.  Visit http://www.artsbuild.com/support/special-events for more information.

The 3 State 3 Mountain Challenge will take place.  Reggie White Blvd. from the entrance of the skate park to 20th St. and 19th St. from Chestnut St. to Reggie White will be closed.  Please watch for lane closures and bikers on Cummings Hwy. from Browns Ferry Road to Scenic Hwy.  The right northbound lane on Hwy. 27 will be closed from the on-ramp at 4th St. to Manufacturers Road.  The right lane of Alton Park Blvd. from Shipp Ave. to 25th St. will be closed.  The right lanes of northbound and southbound Market St. approaching West 26th will be closed. Sunday:

Reggie White Blvd. will be closed from the entrance of the skate park to 19th St. for the Chattanooga Market.  Closure will be from 6 a.m-8 p.m.
