Chattanooga State’s Continuing Education Department is offering a number of weeklong camps beginning June 1 and ending July 31 this summer. Camps are designed for children and youth ages 8 to 16. Costs range from $115 to $225 per camp.

Officials said, "One of the most popular camps, LEGO Robotics, is offered every week during the summer time period for all ages. LEGOs have enriched the lives of children by stimulating learning and development through play – a key element of LEGO philosophy. As children continue to learn and enjoy their LEGO experiences, LEGO education spans the continuum from preschool through university to provide valuable lessons in all curriculum subjects from STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) to humanities, language and literacy."

Two sessions of LEGO Robotic Camps also will be offered at Chattanooga State Dayton, Sequatchie/Bledsoe, and Kimball sites.

In Dayton, camps will be held on June 8-12 for ages 11-14 and June 15-19 for ages 8-10. At the Sequatchie/Bledsoe site, the camps will be held on June 22-26 for ages 8-10 and July 6-10 for ages 11-14. And in Kimball, register for camps from July 13-17 for ages 8-10 and July 20-24 for ages 11-14.

In addition to weekly LEGO Camps, parents of tweens and teens can register their child for one or more stimulating camps with a focus on 3D Animation, 3D Printing, Mobile Apps, Game Programming, Digital Illustration, Webpage Design, Digital Photo for Your Phone, AutoCAD, Graphic Design, Electronics & Basic Programming, Introduction to Robotics, or Advanced Lego Robotics. Just added: Archery Adventure.

To register, parents may call the Office of Continuing Education at 423-697-3100 or view the complete course listings at https://www.chattanoogastate.edu/communityed/summer-camps.
